Since its foundation in 1957 by Rev Dr Francis C Madigan, the Research Institute for Mindanao Culture (RIMCU) has developed into the largest research unit at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. RIMCU research focuses on social and economic development in Mindanao and other regions in the Philippines. Funded by government agencies and private organizations, RIMCU has extensive researches in the fields of demography, anthropology, economics, history, and political science. Through researches and consultancy, this institute works toward a better quality of life and richer culture for all people in Mindanao.
